That makes it way more appealing for real. Look Im not always the biggest fan of these microtransaction fueled modes.
But MLB The Show has consistently done it better than most. And that continues with MLB The Show 25. All the usual ways to play and earn rewards are back.
And they even dropped a fresh new addition. As someone who appreciates fair monetization in games MLB The Shows approach to Diamond Dynasty is commendable.

Alright lets keep it 100. One of the slight bummers with MLB The Show 25 is that it doesnt have some massive new feature or game mode that makes it a must buy if youve already sunk a ton of hours into previous games.
Its more of an upgrade than a total transformation. It delivers an experience thats on par with the older games without really pushing the envelope. And while the game can look seriously good with realistic lighting helmet reflections and dirt flyin the graphics dont feel like a huge leap.
Even though it skipped the older consoles this year you could probably still run this on a PS4 or Xbox One. You still see some weird stuff like hair clipping through heads and those city backgrounds in stadiums can look kinda weak.
As a visual enthusiast I always appreciate graphical improvements and while MLB The Show 25 looks good its not mindblowing…
